Upgrading old NEC 2400 systems to the IMX platform

 NOTE: Information has been gathered from various sources and cannot be guaranteed to be accurate. However, most of the final input came from Greg Pardee, NEC CNG Midwest office so we feel quite comfortable with this list at this time. If you find any errors or additional items that should be listed, please email sautor@digcom.com right away. Note: Lots of factors come into play when deciding what cards/phone should be replaced. It's a good idea to run several quotes and check the configuration. If you start filling up PIMs and have to add another stack because you want to reuse 8ELC cards and older style phones, you'll find that any savings will be lost when you start a new stack, for example.

Note: Older circuits card take more power than the newer ones. Put a mix of cards in each PIM. If you are using all older cards, avoid filling up the PIM. You may need to bring up the older cards gradually on a total power shut down or on initial power up. Busy out all the cards, then bring the PIM up, then unbusy the cards one at a time.
