Adding another
remote NEC PBX VOIP to an existing 2400 IMX or IPX.
1. ANPD. Verify extension numbers for new site are allowed, Normal, Hooking and Busy.
2. AMND. Verify first digit of remote extension numbers are present, such as 3xxx is a 4 digit remote station number.
3. ASPA. Assign the remote extension numbers to LCR for normal, hooking, busy. If 3000-3099, enter 30 etc.
4. AFRSL. Do not use AFRS for VOIP. Assign LCR to Rt. 31. Assign an OPR to the extension numbers. Use 30 for extensions 3000-3099 for example. Print out LFRSL to see what you already have in there.
5. AOPRL. Do not use AOPR for VOIP. Enter the OPR you chose above, Logical Route is the existing IP trunk route. All others are 0. Hint: Assign a Point Code the same as the OPR if not already in use. Print out LOPRL.
6. ACIC1. Assign CSCG for the new point code. Affects Centralized SMDR.
7. APIPL. Do this once the remote site is ready to go or you will get errors because the 2400 will try to PING the remote site and won’t find it. Get an IP address from the customer. Use a lap top or computer on their LAN to PING the IP address you will use before the new site plugs into the WAN. If you get an answer, that IP address is already in use.
