NEC 2000 SYSTEM FEATURES FOR HOTEL/MOTEL USAGE

AUTOMATIC WAKE-UP.  The attendant console or front desk terminal can set a wake-up call.  The system will automatically call the room and play your music on hold.  Optionally, you can have a recorded message for the guest.  We'll ring the room up to 5 times at one minute intervals.  If more than 32 people request wake up at the same time, the system will move up the excess five minutes earlier!  If the guest checks out, the wake-up call is automatically canceled.  If you have a front desk printer, the system will print out a report if the guest does not answer.  With PMS integration, the phone system will signal your computer if the guest does not answer the Wake Up attempts.  Check with your PMS software provider to see what your computer does to alert you when a guest does not respond to a wake-up call.

CHECK IN / CHECK OUT.   On Check In, room cut-off is cleared.  On Check Out, Do Not Disturb, Automatic Wake-up and Message lights are cleared.  Guests can be checked out from a front desk phone.  With PMS integration, your computer notifies the phone system at check-in and check-out and performs the above functions automatically.

DO NOT DISTURB.  The attendant console or a front desk phone can set a room to be in a do not disturb mode, that is, not available for incoming calls, except for wake-up calls or a call from the front desk using DND over-ride.

DO NOT DISTURB - Hotel/Motel.  We can set up room phones so that at a particular time at night, the front desk can dial a code to place all room phones in Do Not Disturb mode.  Good idea when a basketball team arrives!

ENHANCED 911.  Two Camma Trunks can be added to the NEC 2000 system to connect to the 911 center and send information on the room number.  Direct Inward Dialing numbers and at least one trunk required.

FRONT DESK INSTRUMENT.  You can use a digital display phone to set wake-up calls, do check-ins, check room status etc.  The display will also indicate the room number that is calling you!

HOUSE PHONE.  We can install a phone in the lobby that rings the console, or is allowed to make internal calls to rooms and 911 calls only.

MAID STATUS.  When a maid is done cleaning a room, she merely dials a code on the room telephone.  The console will then show the room as being able to be rented.  Several status codes are available.  With PMS integration, when the maid status is set to Clean, the room will automatically show up in the computer as being able to be rented.

MESSAGE WAITING.  The attendant console can turn on Message lights on the room phones.  The lights go out automatically when the room calls the front desk.

NAME DISPLAY.  If you have a PMS Interface, and IF your PMS software has the ability, your computer system can send us the guest's name (up to 15 characters) AND what language he speaks.  This information will display on the screen on your display phones so that you know the name of the guest when they call the front desk!

PMS INTERFACE.  We can connect to some hotel computer systems so that when a quest is checked in at your computer, the computer will also turn on the phone in the room, set wake-up calls, and shut off the phone at check out. Note: Updated, new or additional computer software may be required.

ROOM CUT OFF.  The feature allows the attendant or assigned digital display feature phone to restrict room phones in vacant rooms from being used to make telephone calls.  If a phone attempts to make an outside call, the call can be routed to the hotel switchboard, where the call can be placed. This will save you money!

ROOM NUMBERING.  Flexible numbering allows a numbering plan to be assigned to match your room numbers, in most cases.

ROOM STATUS.  By pressing the STS button on the front desk phones, the attendant can immediately tell the status of the room (Automatic Wake up time, check in/out, and Maid Status)

SINGLE DIGIT DIALING.  We can set up one digit dialing for access to room service etc.

SMDS.  An optional call accounting computer can be added to this system to price out calls and sort by room number.

SPLIT ACCESS.  Different trunk groups can be set up for guest use, so that incoming trunks are not made busy with guest calls.

TOLL RESTRICTION.  We can restrict 900# access from all phones!

TOLL TERMINAL ACCESS.  Credit card call access to long distance (Hobic) trunks can be set up.

VOICE MAIL INTEGRATION.  We can set up guest rooms to Call Forward Busy/No Answer to voice mail.  The system will answer with a generic greeting giving the caller the option to leave a message.  When the guest hangs up, we will light the message light in the room.  By using the NEC Hospitality sets, the guest merely presses the button on the phone to listen to messages.  The NEC 2000 will notify the PMS Interface if a message light was on during check-out.
