EXPANDED MUSIC ON HOLD

General Description. This ETI describes the installation, programming, operation, and service conditions for the Expanded Music On Hold feature for the NEC 2400 ICS 6100 software or HDS with 5200 software, Rev. IV. Up to 16 music sources can be used, with music applied by either Tennant/Trunk Route, Trunk Route or by TN/Station.

Simplest method is trunk route. User requirements will dictate. If by station, you need to set up separate tennants, including changes in ASYD etc.

Hardware Required: 8TLT card

Mounting Instructions: Can use any slot normally used for stations or trunks. Bring Circuit Card Manual to job site.
Put all switches down on the 8TLT card. Music source punched down each pair starting Blue-White on LT-0, PIM 0 for this example. Refer to manuals for other mounting positions possible. Manual may be required to switch in Pads for volume control, or try APAD.

If the system is using internal chimes for Music on Hold, check for switch settings to change to External.
