Question:  On the IPKII Conference Bridge, what happens if a scheduled conference goes over it’s time and another conference is scheduled?

Answer:

When scheduling a conference in Basic Mode, the duration for the conference timer is set when the last member of the conf enters the bridge.

In Advanced mode all criteria’s are set when you setup the conference. For example you configure the start time and the Duration of the conference, this timer starts with the start time even if all callers are not on the bridge – once the start time criteria is met the conference is active and participants have the length of the scheduled duration to enter and/or exit the conference.

To extend a conference that is already in progress – the organizer has the ability to extend his/her conference (organizer dials ## to request 10 extra minutes) if there available ports during this time frame.   If the number of ports being requested are not available for the extended time (i.e., a conference is already scheduled) – a voice prompt will be played “Sorry, the conference duration can not be extended at this time”.   All ports are then disconnected at the preset time as configured.

Question:  What does the End of Conference Alter Tone sound like:

This is a Voice Prompt:   “The conference is scheduled to end in “x” minutes” – this is in accordance with the preconfigured end tone alert time that has been  configured.  After the “x” minutes the conference ports are disconnected.
