Universal Night Answer (AKA overhead ringing / Night Chime)

 

  1. Program 31-05-01 assign Universal Night Answer ringing to each external zone paging zone per trunk port.

 

  1. Program 22-05-01 assign trunks to ring groups.

 

    1. Universal Night Answer will only ring when a call is ringing into a ring group.
    2. If you only want the speakers to ring then assign the trunks to a ring group that no phones are assigned to.

 

  1. Program 22-04-01 assigns phones to ring groups.

 

  1. Program 11-15-09 assigns a code that will allow you to transfer a call to the Universal Night Answer.

 

 

To answer a Universal Night Answer on a non ringing phone that does not have direct line appearances do the following:

 

Manual Answering:

 

  1. Program 11-12-43 assign a code, the default code is #0.

 

  1. Program 23-03-01 assign stations per mode to route tables.

 

  1. Program 14-06-01 assigns preferences for trunk group routing from 23-03-01.

 

Once these programs are assigned go off hook and dial #0 to answer the Universal Night Answer call.

 

 

Automatic Answering:

 

  1. Program 20-10-07 per class of service assign automatic pickup.

 

  1. Program 23-03-01 assign stations per mode to route tables.

 

  1. Program 14-06-01 assigns preferences for trunk group routing from 23-03-01.

 

At any station assigned for this feature go off hook and you will be connected to the Universal Night Answer call.
