09/13/06 Conference Call

 

The following members of the board were in attendance:  Bob Pentico, Garry Laxdal, Tim Lenox, Maureen Gaynor, Suzanne Sherrod and Barry Simons. Seated with the board was Steve Autor and Dave Heuman.

 

Absent:, Kevin Brennan and Drew Regan

 

President, Barry Simons, called meeting to order at 1:10pm.

 

 

Presidents Report:  NEC has confirmed for our Fall Meeting dates of Oct 26th and 27th.  Mr. Langdon, Mr. King and NEC new VP of Sales, Mr. Jeff Kane will be unable to attend. Make your travel arrangements to arrive Wednesday in time for dinner meeting and fly out Friday afternoon.  Top priority is to compile our agenda items.

 

LEAD PROGRAM:  Tom Griffin (tgriffin@eprospector.com) joined the meeting and did an online demo of Eprospector. It is web-hosted program that circumvents SPAM. Last year stats were 25% ‘email opened’, which he reports is extremely high in the industry and a 7% web, lead response. It is a totally automated program and the user just logs on daily and reviews his report of new leads from previous day. Tom reports 75% of their clients renew annually.  Tom is offering a bulk discount with 150 NECSI members anticipated of $1750 annually for 3000 database names. Each dealer will own their database and it will be provided to the dealer for additional marketing purposes and telemarketing. Also included a new feature in the web report is the list of ‘email opened’ companies. Touch frequency is 28 times per year (bi-weekly). Each year you are provided a new database. Multiple dealers in same territory are handled by different database lists. Dealer has the ability to purge the database prior to Eprospector loading it in case they want to remove all existing clients.

Normal price is $5000 annually. Product has been out in full operation for 4 years.

Tom is looking for 5 pilot sites for remainder for year and to roll out to membership in early 2007. The board will comprise the 5 pilot sites. Barry will work with Tom.
