NEC/NECSI MEETING

NECSI Council met with NEC (Doug Wonson, Victor Foia, Bob Talty and others).

General Strategic Discussion took place regarding:

  • NECSI value and role to NEC CNG Organization

  • 2400 product branding and NEC credibility as a "network solutions" provider in the marketplace

  • NEC message to the world with BNS Product Selection (non-NEC brands such as AVT and Cisco Selsius)

  • Channel (74% product sales) versus BNS in marketing (Web, Yellow Pages positioning favorable to BNS)

  • NEC resolution of global software/hardware field problems (e.g. Elite/Elitemail softkeys)

  • National Accounts

  • Adequacy at this time of NEC Channel sales managers and sales engineers to support NEAX Express

    Next meeting with NEC scheduled for first week of December. Time, location TBA.
