DEALER COUNCIL MEETING WITH NECAM MANAGEMENT
DATE: September 18, 1995
The meeting was held at TCA at the Wyndham Hotel in San Diego, California at 2:00 p.m. and the following items were discussed:
1. NEC doesn't want to increase number of dealers, just sales per dealer. Must get more market share.
2. Ingram signed. 16 city tour was held with Novell with
2000 platform and applications. Ingram dealers will be key and 2000 only. Certified training with Ingram has started. Ingram will support its dealers. Approximately 100 Ingram dealers expressed interest.
Work being done to furnish computer training to existing NEC dealers. Novell developing with Ingram. Computer based sales and technician training being developed.
3. Non NEC Dealers getting product, NEC Dealers reselling parts. Discussion with examples. NEC wants examples. Dealers should write account manager, copy Dealer Council. NEC will cooperate fully.
4. Still working on the technician training issue.
5. Ingram update on VAR Program, reference response in 2.
6. Manuals on CD Rom available now. manuals for computers.

7. Sales training from NEC and Ingram on CTI, reference responses in 2 and 5.
8. Manuals out soon. Most support materials are ready now and coming along well. NEC will develop suggested labor pricing for 2000 for National Account pricing. Whole program to be launched next week.
9. Novell will furnish in connection with NEC. Direct mail "menu' coming.

10. Ok until November 30th. Dr. Bond, upgrade demo kits, new in house 2000 systems. (Third party products, answer within 10 days).
11. Price sheets and brochures being developed for video. OAI prices already out to Dealers. Dealers Association/NEC needs references for actual OAI applications. NEC will help with seminars. Increased roll louts.
12. NEC is adding people and increasing support. ACD in customer service working well. New proposal program being developed for retail proposals.
