NATIONAL DEALERS ASSOCIATION ANNUAL MEETING

DATE: September 18, 1995

The NEC Dealer Association Annual meeting was held at TCA at the Wyndham Hotel in San Diego, California at 5:00 p.m. and the following items were discussed:

I. The meeting was convened by Vito Marrone, president.

II. Tim Madden and Mike Ellis were introduced.

III. Review of Activities:

A. Inacom/Ingram signing. Report on procedures.

B. Requested written instances of illegal reselling.

C. 50% discounts and other promotional programs. Extended discount to November 30, 1995.

D. Expand membership. Mike Ellis heading committee.

E. 1993 - 200, 1994 - 249, 1995 - 201 dealers.

F. NEC - #3 overall in key and PBX.

G. TCI - October, 1995.

H. National Accounts

I. JAZZ 2000 (ACD) from Cintech and demo disks available on all CTI programs.

3. CD Rom for 2000 manuals.

K. TAPI, TSAPI

L. Video brochures

M. NEC needs end user references for marketing.

IV. Moved annual meeting to CTI.

V. Financial report by Art Weinrach, approved. attached.

VI. Steve Autor heading committee on Finance Income.

VII. User Group - Mike Ellis to represent the Association at no cost.

VIII. Motion passed to delete all non-members from Directory. Ok to include for mailing to Dealers.

Ix. Open Discussion

A. Questionnaire regarding 2000 and 2400. Need responses by December 31, 1995.

B. Technician support problems with 2000. NEC having problems hiring technicians. Electra Professional support better than 2000 and 2400, especially in public relations with dealers. NEC considering '1challenge'1 test.

C. NEC needs more CTI training for dealers.

D. Committees and Association now pro-active rather than reactive.

E. Distribution concerns - quality and quantity of dealers.

F. Moved and passed that new members joining from now until December 31, 1995 will pay only for 1996.

x. Committee Reports

A. Key Systems, Ron Brennan: Comprehensive

survey coming out in October.

B. 1400 and 2000 Systems, Sheldon Allen:

Survey to be sent. Better cabinets, Ti fuses fused with power supplies, beefed up telephones (moved displays, "foot" replacement, speakerphone to be redesigned, no RJ11 on phones), battery backup to be longer, Mic lights on reset, 1500 software will upgrade button programming, 4 circuit DTerm II card due in January, etc.

C. 2400 System, Steve Autor: NEC working with recommendations.
