NADA Board of Directors Meeting- 12:30pm, June 18, 1997
2. Newsletter. It was decided to send at least one more issue to non-members as we get more members sign up with each mailing. Copies will go to selected NEC staff as well to keep them informed with our activities.
3. Selling NEC products via the Internet. Motion was made by Tim Madden and seconded by Ron Brennan that we will discourage members from selling NEC parts outside of their territory over the Internet. Doing so will jeopardize their link from our home page and membership in the NADA. Motion passed unanimously.
4. President Vito Marrone announced that Mike Fisher will handle the election of Dealer Council members again this year.
5. Discussion on Master Tech Program concern on what happens when a Master Tech leaves and goes to work for another NEC dealer and want to re-establish Master Tech status. Tim moved that the dealer that lost the Master Tech should be reimbursed for the expense of training a new Master Tech. This would include: tuition, air travel. hotel expense, and employee's lost time expense (hourly wage and fringe). Seconded by Suzanne Sherrod. Motion passed unanimously. Note: Further discussion with NEC on NEC's role in this followed at the meeting that followed.
