Minutes of Dealer Council Meeting - October 9th, 2003

Meeting was called to order at 6:30pm by President Gordon Maccani. Members present were:

Lawrence Sosna, Sheldon Allen, Gordon Maccani, Steve Autor, Chris Jackson, Mark

Duckworth, Garry Laxdal. Greg Osler, & Sean Campbell.

a. Discussion on Budget, review of previous years. Mark Duckworth agreed to work on increasing the number of Business Partners. Mark, Lawrence, Gary and Chris will work on this.

b. Sheldon made a motion that we continue discussion with the Users Group, but that we are still concerned with customer solicitation at Advantage. Discussion on offering to have the Users Group advertise in our newsletter. Further discussion on how to get them involved with our organization.

c. Platinum. Discussions on frustrations with delays in getting credits.

d. Members are still concerned with Nitsuko in some markets. NEC name on a different product line can cause confusion for buyers.

e. Concerns with Voice Mail products. Sheldon reported on upcoming improvements as a result of a meeting with Active Voice.

f. Web Site: Steve Autor passed out and explained some web traffic reports for the NECSI site, and examples of dealer data base contained on the web site.

g. Gordon Maccani reported he is talking with Verizon about NECSI members doing possible installs for Verizon.

h. Lawrence Sosna reported on investigations he has been doing for possible joint efforts with NECSI members.

1. Dale Carnegie Sales Training - Group rates + they want to buy Elite Systems for their offices.

2. Enterprise Vehicles. Motion was made to further investigate Enterprise

Vehicles. NECSI members could buy vehicles 3% under factory invoice.

3. Possible group purchase from NEC.

Election of officers for the coming year was held:
