CTI Issues

Software Compatibility for Technician Laptop
It is true that attempting to run DOS based programs such as the old DOS MAT commands, pose numerous problems for today's ever growing list of Windows based operating systems. Another problem that has surfaced with the old DOS based MAT Command is that they are often sensitive to the increased processing speeds of modern day CPUs.
In an attempt to combat these plaguing problems, we have created specially converted DOS commands to the Windows environment. We refer to this software as WinMAT.
WinMAT looks and behaves identical to the DOS commands with the exception that they are truly 32bit Windows applications. WinMAT uses modern communication techniques that shield it from the error prone communications with the NEAX due to high speed CPUs on the PC and low priority communication handling (low speed) on the NEAX side. The obvious mismatch between the DOS operating system in which the DOS MAT commands were designed to work and the pseudo DOS "WINDOW" of MS-Windows95, 98 and NT are problems that do not exist on WinNT since it is itself a true 32 bit application.
Neax Mail (active voice issues)
NECAM and Active Voice understand the issue DOS and CoSession and are working to obtain a solution.

Fusion Strategic Alliance Program
Within the last six months, NEC's Fusion Strategic Alliance Program has undergone a wide array of enhancements. First, the program has come under the leadership of Product Management thus becoming a product-based program. Upon a test request, an assigned product manager, decides who participates and at what level by prioritizing them with the needs and opportunities of NEC.
There have been 6 new additions to the family of Fusion Certified Products including:
In addition, the Fusion Strategic Alliance Program is happy to welcome two new family members to the Fusion Certified Product line, Wireless Fiber by WinStar Communications and EverReadyOperator by Global Telecommunications. Both products will be announced in the coming weeks.
The ordering of materials such as developer kits and documentation through the program have become increasingly efficient with a delivery time of less than 4 days for orders in which necessary documentation have been completed. Specialized Fusion Jewel Case Inserts for each developer kit available have been designed for CDs shipped. This has assisted in legitimizing the program.
There have also been changes to the home page to make navigating through it less confusing for our Fusion Partner, Associates, Sales Personnel, future participant, etc. They Include:
As you can see, Product Management is committed to making the Fusion Strategic Alliance Program a product centric program with many changes still to come.
