As a key Sales Partner of Fujitsu Business Communication Systems, we value our relationship with you, and always endeavor to keep you abreast of major events and changes within the FBCS organization.  In light of this commitment to open and timely communication, we would like to notify you of a recent development regarding FBCS.

 

On Monday 8/20/01 at 2 PM Japan time, Fujitsu Ltd. distributed a press release containing additional details regarding the group-wide restructuring that was previously announced on July 27.  As part of the world-wide restructuring, FBCS management has been directed by the FBCS Board to develop a plan to wrap up its business operations.

 

At this time there is no definitive schedule or implementation plan for the termination of FBCS’s business operations.  We anticipate a more complete shutdown plan will be in place within the next two weeks. 

 

As part of the process, FBCS will explore the possible sale of all or portions of its business.  At this time, it is our intent to work with you, to provide service and support on our systems as usual, to fully honor our existing obligations, and to keep you informed of the progress and status of our plans as decisions are reached  

 

As FBCS and Fujitsu Ltd. work through this process, we appreciate that you may have many questions or concerns.  We encourage you to check the FBCS web site on a regular basis for further information and updates.  That web site is www.fbcs.fujitsu.com. continue working through your normal  <  channel management / marketing / branch > contacts just as you have been.  Should you have any specific concerns that cannot be addressed through these channels, please contact Greg Yuenger, Vice President, Indirect Sales Division at gyuenger@fbcs.fujitsu.com.  More information will be provided to you as it becomes available.
